Thank you for serving with The Rockford Mission

Serving is not just something we do so we can "do church"; it's a way that God uses our gift to serve the needs of our body and the world. It's a primary place of our formation and part of our participation in Christ.

What am I signing up for?
We are still understanding our needs as a congregation, but here's a brief descriptor of what each of these serving teams may entail:
  • Children's Ministry: serving to disciple our children by teaching, playing, and creating a safe space
  • Worship Ministry: leading with musical or A/V gifts
  • Hospitality: welcoming people into our corporate gatherings by greeting, helping with coffee, following up with newcomers
  • Liturgy/Sacraments: helping set and clean the communion table, helping our space reflect the season of the church calendar, helping with the Sunday Bulletin
  • Events: plan, lead, execute events for our church and neighborhood (e.g. our upcoming Trunk or Treat)
  • Grounds/Building: upkeeping our (100 year old!) property
  • Administration/Use my vocational skills: database management, communicating to the congregation
